A word about Arnfinn Sveen
For those lucky enough to have had the opportunity to know and play golf with Arnfinn, he was truly a representative of what is great about this game. Arnfinn always had clubs ready for any match with anyone for any stakes. Chipping, putting or a Nassau, he was always ready to share the camaraderie that goes so well with this great game. He is dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in all of us and through this tournament.
Our Mission
In 2006 and 2007, the proceeds from The Viking Tournament have generated over $11,000 to local charities and scholarships. In 2007, The Arnfinn Sveen Memorial Scholarship Fund was established and its mission is to provide scholarships to qualified WNC outgoing High School seniors.
